The fast motor launch "Kelvin," belonging to Mr W. M. Bergius, was put into the water at Balloch on Saturday last. She has been kept on the firth up to the present, and on the measured mile at Skelmorlie has made 10.4 knots. For the run, from Ardlui to Balloch Pier the "Kelvin's" time was 2 hrs. 11 mins., which is very steady running. The engine is a "Kelvin" 14 .h.-p., Manufactured by the owner's brother's firm, the Bergius Car and Engine Go., Glasgow, and being a four-cylinder motor, there is practically no vibration.
